Neil MacCormick was the third son of John MacCormick b.ca.1816, and Mary McFarlane.
Neil was born in Canada.
He was a witness at his sister Flora's wedding in 1884.

Flora, born in Kirkfield, had married John Howe in Toronto, 2nd July 1884. The witnesses to her wedding were her brother, Neil McCormick and sister, Maggie.
