N.B. The link to prove that this John MacCormick that married Mary McFarlane and emigrated from Iona, to Canada, around 1847, is John MacCormick, the second son of Neil MacCormick b.1788, and Flora MacDonald, has not been found yet, but by a process of elimination, naming paterns and other circumstantial evidence, I am confident that this is indeed the case.

However, until the link is either proved or disproved we cannot be certain.
