John MacCormick was born in 1784, the son of Dugald MacCormick and Catherine MacInnes.
No connection to Sithean MacCormicks - yet.
John was a schoolmaster in Catchean in the Ross of Mull.
His daughter Ann Margaret MacCormick married John MacCormick -Argyll Hotel Iona and commercial traveller, Glasgow.
John died in 1879.
