Janet MacCormick was born in 1799, the daughter of Hugh MacCormick b.ca. 1760, and Mary MacDonald.
Janet married Malcolm MacGilvray, who was a cottar. Their son, Donald MacGilvray, signed his mothers death record.
When Janet died at Kilpatrick, on 15th March 1887 at the age of 88, she was a widow.
