Notes for - Hugh MacCormick b.ca. 1821.

Hugh MacCormick was the fifth son of Angus MacCormick 1785, and Mary McLucais.

Hugh was born about 1821, Argyll, Scotland; died 1885 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario. He married Mary McLean, born 1830 and died 1911 in Grey County, Ontario, Canada. Both are buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

Children of Hugh McCormick and Mary McLean:

i. Angus McCormick, born 1854 Grey Co., Ontario; died 1903 Gray Co., Ontario and buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

ii. Alexander McCormick, born 1857 Grey Co., Ontario.

iii. Catherine McCormick, born 1859 Grey Co., Ontario and married Harry Steffan.

iv. Mary McCormick, born 1860 Grey Co., Ontario; died 1879 Grey County, Ontario and is buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Ontario.

v. Margaret McCormick, born 1863 Grey Co., Ontario and married Fredric McLaren.

vi. Donald McCormick, born 18 August 1866 Grey County, Ontario and died 15 May 1936 Castor, Alberta, Canada.

vii. Hugh McCormick, born 1867 Grey County, Ontario.

viii. Annie McCormick, born 1869 Grey County, Ontario

ix. Elizabeth McCormick, born 1876 Grey County, Ontario

Donald McCormick 1818 and Alexander McCormick 1826 emigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1843.
