Dugald MacCormick b. 1765. may have been the son of Donald MacCormick (or McCarmaig) b.ca. 1734. ( Argyll Estates Census 1779).
Dugald married Ann MacLean of Duart. Dugald was ground-officer for the 5th Duke of Argyll came to Iona from Mull, with his wife, sometime in the late 1790's.
They may have had more than the four children listed so far. Of these, the two daughters married Iona men; the elder son John went back to the Fionnphort area in the Ross of Mull - possibly at the time of the creation of the crofts - and from him are descended the "Tormore" branch of the family.
