Notes for - Donald MacCormick b. 1838.

Donald MacCormick was the third son of Hugh MacCormick 1791, and Mary Paterson.

He was a twin brother of Jess.

He was married to Margaret McKechnie. His age on his marriage record appears to be incorrect, it says 24, but should be 27.

I found Donald in the 1881 census working as a quarryman at Shap, Westmorland, England. He had his family with him and they were living at the Post Office, Shap.

Three of the children were born on Iona, one in Glasgow and two in Shap.
