Angus was born on 28/04/1831, the third son of Donald MacCormick 1780 and Margrate MacKinnon.
Angus was a tailor and clothier on Iona, he married Mary Cameron in Blythswood.
Angus d.12/01/1862 on Iona.
His daughter Margaret Mary MacCormick died just two months after him at the age of five months.
His son Alexander Roderick Cameron McCormick was born in Blythswood, and married Violet Mary Gardner in Gourock in 1898. He called himself Alexander MacCormaig at that time, which was the Gaelic version of MacCormick. In 1901 they had a son called Angus Roderick Cameron MacCormaig. Alexander was a master seaman. In the 1871 census he was living in Bunessan with his step father Charles Macdonald who, at that point in time, was a clothier and tailor like Alex's late father Angus - (info from MG).
Following Angus's death Mary and son Alexander continued living with Mary's mother Marion ( Sarah ) in Iona Village. In 1866 Mary remarried Charles McDonald, a railway clerk, again in Blythswood - (info from MG).
