Alexander MacCormick was the sixth son of Angus MacCormick 1785, and Mary McLucais.

Alexander was baptized 1 October 1826 Suie, Argyll, Scotland; died 1907 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario. He married at Argyll, Scotland, Isabella McLean born 1833 in Argyll, Scotland and died 1915 Durham, Grey, Ontario.

Children of Alexander and Isabella McLean:

i. Archibald was baptized 22 August 1832 Bunessan, Argyll, Scotland and died 11 June 1926 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario. He married on 03 Feb.1869 Bentinck , Grey Co., Ontario; Christena Stewart born 1852 in Canada; died 12 Jan 1926 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario. Archibald and Christena, are buried Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

ii. Catherine McCormick, born 1874 Grey Co., Ontario; married Neil Sinclair 1880-1946 and died 1950 Grey Co., Ontario. Catherine is buried St. Peter's R.C. Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

iii. Donald McCormick, born Grey Co., Ontario.

iv. Elizabeth McCormick, born 1863 Grey Co., Ontario; died 1950 Grey Co., Ontario.

v. Alexander McCormick, born 1858 Grey Co., Ontario; married Elizabeth McIntosh; married 2nd Pearl Wilson born 1880, died 1970; died 1928 Grey Co., Ontario and buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

vi. Angus McCormick, born 1860 Grey Co., Ontario; died 1940 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario and is buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

vii. Charles McCormick, born 1868 Grey Co., Ontario; died 1941 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario and is buried Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

viii. Hugh McCormick, born 1862 Grey Co., Ontario; died 1919 Grey Co., Ontario and is buried at Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.
